The much anticipated Bollywood movie, which was produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Jio Studios, created a lot of hype and excitement before it opened in theaters. The highly anticipated production and its team have suffered a significant blow with the unapproved distribution of the HD version of the film so soon after its premiere.

Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that the movie grossed Rs 30 crore net domestically on its first day. It is now the seventh-biggest opening of the year, after Adipurush, Jawan, Animal, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and Gadar 2. Even with the historic failure Adipurush made Rs 36 crore on its first day of release, compared to Jawan's opening of Rs 75 crore.
Although the first day earnings make it the least profitable Shah Rukh movie of the year, it still has a higher opening than Dream Girl 2 (Rs 10.69 crore), Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (Rs 15.81 crore), Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (Rs 15.73 crore), and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (Rs 11.1 crore).
Sadly, the film was lost to pirates, which allowed it to be downloaded in high quality and streamed for free on several websites.
