Sindhooram Telugu movie Review

Sindhooram is a movie that deals with the concept of Naxalism in modern times and the facts behind it. Shyam Tummalapalli deserves appreciation for considering an interesting subject for his debut film and narrating it in his finest way. Brigida Saga's subtle performance as Sirisha is impressive, and Dharma's acting skills are noteworthy, especially in the climax portion. The cinematography and background score elevate the scenes between Ravi and Sirisha, making them interesting.

However, the slow-paced screenplay in the first half weakens the story and makes one feel boredom. The director tries to explain how the Naxals, their revolutions, and their ideology changed over the years, but the writing could have been better. The film has a few unnecessary characters, like Josh Ravi, who has no connection with the story. The film's sluggish narration in the first half and many laggy scenes could have been chopped off to make it more interesting.

Shyam Tummalapalli handles the socio-political drama well for a debutant, but he failed to rope in actors who would justify the key characters. The notable work of DOP Kesav and music director Gowra Hari needs to be praised. They both made the film a good experience with rich visuals and impressive music. The production values are okay.

On the whole, Sindhooram is a movie with a good concept that engages partially. Performances by the leads, Dharma and Brigida Saga, are quite impressive. If you like serious socio-political dramas, you can give it a watch this weekend.
